Voies Vertes on the doorstep
Throughout the Ardèche there are dozens of Voies Vertes, wonderfully scenic routes with no motorised vehicles. Follow the Voie Vertes through the Gorges de l'Ardèche, the Eyrieux valley (the Dolce Via) or the Via Fluvia which connects the Rhone and the Loire. These routes often follow old railway tracks and so are level and easy to navigate, eminently suitable for leisurely family excursions. And if you need a campsite there are plenty along the way, from the the low-key and simple to the large-scale and buzzing. Importantly, all of them will welcome you and many will offer bike rental too.
