We were late to check in, but we were still greeted very friendly. Also we had no bed linnen with us, but were provided with these by the camping. Great service, and with a big smile!

Our second visit to this wonderful site with our friends. Lovely facilities in a perfect setting in the perfect place. We love the area and we love this site, and the owners are lovely. See you next year.

Scenic and very well maintained by the team. Very friendly hosts. Great value cabins.
Insect nets at windows as cabins get very hot due to no insulation but if windows open mosquitos get in. A/C would be nice or at least a fan.

The establishment
Stayed in one of the little chalets and it was great. Campsite was good and was run by Sylvie who kept the place looking great. I really liked the fact that World Cup Rugby was shown on a big screen and beers and wine and platters of local meats and cheese were sold at a good price. Nice walks from the campsite to the castle in Vallon Pont D’Arc! Had a great holiday!

The site was beautiful, well serviced and maintained. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The region was excellent (we were caving), a trip to remember!

Hut was spacious and clean with everything we needed for the week. The view of the gorge was perfect.
Just the memory foam mattresses. Not good for a bad back.

The establishment
The campsite was away from the Route des Gorges and there were plenty of shady sites. The owner was really friendly and helpful and was also able to book a canoe trip down the Ardeche. She was able to provide information about the local area. The site had a small cafe/snack bar on site providing a good choice of well priced food and drinks. The pool was lovely and refreshing and the facilities mostly clean and plentiful. The water in the showers was hot. We would recommend as a place to stay in the Ardeche as long as you don't mind some general night time noise and a fairly busy summer season
The campsite itself was quiet but the Route des Gorges has many large campsites located on its length and these tended to play loud music most nights. Most of the time it did stop by 11.30pm but it ruined the general tranquility offered at Le Vieux Vallon. On some nights the campsite itself was noisy was past 11.30pm but this was due to other campers, not the actual campsite itself. It was also high season. There was little wrong about the campsite per se, but we would likely not stay there again as we prefer much smaller sites in less touristy areas.

Our site (no 32) was very shady but it was located up some steep wooden steps which made it tricky to take all of our camping equipment up and down.

Nous avons passé un super petit séjour pour les vacances de la Toussaint au camping du vieux Vallon, dans une cabane ardéchoise ! C’était exactement ce que j’envisageais, nature, repos, calme, belle vue. L’accueil est parfait, les propriétaires sont adorables, détendus, on sent qu’ils aiment leur lieu. Et évidemment, le vallon pont d’arc est une merveille, ainsi que la grotte Chauvet. Il y a tellement d’activités et de site à aller voir que vous reviendrons avec plaisir. Belle découverte aussi la voie verte pour faire du vélo en famille en toute sécurité et par profiter de la nature, du solei.
Accommodation review
La cabane ardéchoise est très bien pensée, tout est optimisé. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner, se poser dehors ou dedans. Tout ce qui est sanitaire ou eau se trouve dehors juste à côté, c’est pratique. Les sanitaires sont très bien, l’eau chaude pour la douche, c’est appréciable. Les chambres de la cabane ne sont pas grande mais on le comprends aisément. Les lits sont confortables et la cabane est bien isolée, nous n’avons pas mis le chauffage. L’intérieur de la cabane est toute en bois, c’est super agréable.

Très beau camping en terrasse ardéchoise avec de magnigiques chênes verts recouverts de Lichen. Les sanitaires sont très propres, et il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un très beau séjour au milieu de la nature ardéchoise : piscine, barbecue avec une vue splendide, terrain de pétanque, table de ping pong, jeux pour les enfants. Nous avons été accueillis avec une très grande gentillesse. On se sent accueilli comme à la maison.

Die Herzlichkeit und Geduld der Betreiberin. Die liebevolle gepflegte naturnahe Anlage. Die absolute Ruhe in der Nacht. Die Lage und der Ausblick. Top sauberer Sanitärblock mit richtig heißem Wasser.
Genau so bleiben wie bisher!

Sehr gemütliche Hütte komplett aus Holz. Superschöne überdachte Terrasse mit wunderbarem Ausblick in die Natur.

Herzlicher Empfang, hilfsbereit und kommunikativ. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Als Ausgangspunkt für kleine und größere Fahrradtouren (wir waren bis zu 65 km Tagestrip unterwegs) ein idealer Startpunkt um die Gegend , ihre schönen Dörfer, die kulinarischen Highlights der Region und Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden.
Für unsere Ansprüche waren alle Leistungen ausreichend vorhanden. Da unsere Sprachkenntnisse im französischen nur "rudimentär" vorhanden sind könnte ein bisschen mehr "englisch" unterstützend sein. Allerdings gilt dies auch für den ungeübten "Urlauber im fremden Land"
Accommodation review
Wir hatten den aus unserer Sicht besten Platz mit der schönsten Aussicht ins Tal. Groß genug für unser Wohnmobil mit Fahrradträger (8,50 m lang) und breit genug für eine schöne "Terrasse".
Einzig im Bereich der sanitären Anlagen würden wir für die Beleuchtung Bewegungsmelder in den Dusch und WC Kabinen empfehlen.

Kleiner Campingplatz für Wohnmobile über 7,5 Meter nicht geeignet Zufahrt sehr eng. Platz ist terrassenförmig angelegt sehr schön, Sanitäranlagen einfach aber sauber.
